Sizing guide

Tilia cordata 'Greenspire' is a cultivar of the small-leaved linden tree, Tilia cordata. It is a deciduous tree known for its attractive shape, vibrant green foliage, and fragrant flowers. A magnificent form of Tilia, the Greenspire™ Linden is a well formed, vigorous tree with a strong central leader. It has good potential for use as a street and city tree as well as in parks, gardens and golf courses. Greenspire will reach a height of 9mt and width of 6mt with a moderate growth rate. Shaped symmetrically pyramidal with a strong central leader.
The leaves of Tilia cordata 'Greenspire' are small and heart-shaped, measuring about 1.5-3 inches (4-8 cm) long. They have serrated edges and emerge as bright green, turning yellowish-green in Autumn. In early summer, Greenspire Linden produces clusters of fragrant, creamy-yellow flowers. These flowers attract bees and other pollinators and contribute to the tree's overall beauty.
When planting a Greenspire Linden tree, it is recommended to choose a location with well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade exposure. Regular watering, along with thick mulching during the first few years helps establish the tree, but once established, it can tolerate some drought conditions. Pruning is typically done in late winter or early spring to maintain a balanced shape and remove any dead or damaged branches.
