This is the classic lavender used in sachets, perfumes, wands, etc. Foliage is aromatic and grey-green and flower lavender, appearing in July and August. 
Lavender Hidcote is a popular cultivar of Lavandula angustifolia, commonly known as English lavender. It is named after the Hidcote Manor Garden in Gloucestershire, England, where it was first introduced and propagated by the garden designer Major Lawrence Johnston.
