Eremophila glabra prostrate Blue Horizon™ (EREM1) is a hardy Australian native groundcover with dense silver-grey foliage and soft yellow tubular flowers that appear mainly in spring and summer. It forms a low, spreading mat reaching up to 30 cm high and 2 metres wide, making it excellent for erosion control, rockeries, and low-maintenance native gardens.

It thrives in full sun and well-draining soils, tolerating drought, coastal exposure, and light frost. Once established, it requires minimal water and care, making it ideal for gardens in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide. Avoid overly wet soils to prevent root rot.

Pruning lightly after flowering helps maintain a compact habit and encourages fresh new growth. It does not need regular fertilising, though a low-phosphorus native blend in spring can support health and flowering.

Blue Horizon™ pairs well with grasses like Lomandra ‘Tanika’, and tough natives like Westringia, Myoporum parvifolium, or Grevillea ‘Royal Mantle’ to create resilient, textured native landscapes.
