Acacia acinacea, commonly known as the Gold dust wattle, is a hardy and attractive Australian native plant. To grow it successfully, choose a sunny location with well-draining soil. This plant is drought-tolerant once established, making it ideal for Australian conditions. Water regularly during the first year to help it establish a strong root system.
Pruning is generally not required, but you can shape the plant if desired. The Gold dust wattle produces bright yellow, ball-shaped flowers in winter and spring, adding a splash of color to your garden. This plant is also a great choice for attracting native birds and bees to your garden.
