Abelia Kaleidoscope has a very unique foliage colour, and delightful tones that change with each season. During autumn this combination turns to bright orange to fiery red throughout the winter months extending until the early spring.
The new variegated foliage is bright yellow and green during spring, and then turns golden yellow over summer.
A very hardy, garden shrub, tolerates extended periods of drought  ‘Kaleidoscope’ naturally has a compact dense habit, Ideal as a small hedge, and also looks great planted into large tubs and containers.

Abelia 'Kaleidoscope' is a cultivar of Abelia grandiflora, which is a species of flowering plant in the honeysuckle family. It is a hybrid plant that was developed by plant breeder Edward Goucher in Maryland, USA.  The leaves emerge bright yellow with green centers in the spring, then turn green and gold during the summer, and finally take on hues of orange, red, and purple in Autumn. The small, tubular flowers are pink and white, and bloom from summer to autumn.

'Kaleidoscope' is a popular ornamental plant, prized for its attractive foliage and long-lasting blooms. It is often used in mixed borders, as a low hedge, or as a specimen plant. It is also tolerant of a range of soil types and growing conditions, making it a versatile choice for gardeners.
