Pennisetum alopecuroides PURPLE LEA® (PA400), also known as Cenchrus Purple Lea, is a compact, ornamental grass prized for its dark purple foliage and fine texture. It forms a neat clump, reaching around 60cm in height and width, making it ideal for borders, rockeries, or mass planting.

This variety is especially striking in warmer months when its rich purple blades intensify, contrasting beautifully with the soft, bottlebrush-style flower spikes that appear in summer to autumn. The flower heads add movement and interest, catching light and gently swaying in the breeze.
