Ceanothus ‘Yankee Point’ is a low-growing, evergreen Californian lilac valued for its spreading habit and vivid blue spring flowers. It forms a dense mat of glossy green foliage, making it ideal as a groundcover, bank stabiliser or for coastal gardens. At maturity, it reaches around 1 metre high and can spread to 3 metres wide.

This cultivar thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, especially in areas with dry summers and mild winters. It tolerates coastal winds, light frost, and some drought once established, making it well-suited to many Australian climates, particularly in southern and eastern regions.

Minimal maintenance is required beyond occasional pruning to shape and promote density. Avoid excessive watering or heavy clay soils to prevent root rot. Mulching helps retain moisture in drier months and suppress weeds, though it's best kept clear of the crown.
