Vinca Minor Darts Blue
Minimum order quantity for this plant in 14cm pots is 3 units

Vinca minor ‘Darts Blue’ is a hardy, low-growing groundcover with trailing stems and deep blue-purple flowers that bloom in spring and sporadically through summer. Its glossy dark green foliage provides year-round coverage, making it ideal for suppressing weeds and stabilising soil on banks and under trees. It typically grows to around 15cm tall and spreads readily.
In Melbourne and Sydney, it thrives in part shade to full shade and prefers well-drained soils, tolerating both clay and sandy types once established. It is drought-tolerant but benefits from occasional watering during extended dry periods. Pruning can help contain its spread and rejuvenate older growth.
Darts Blue pairs beautifully with other shade-loving plants such as Liriope muscari, Helleborus, Heuchera, and ferns. It also complements Camellia japonica and Azaleas, forming a dense mat beneath these taller shrubs while contrasting nicely with their foliage and flowers. Avoid planting near more delicate groundcovers it may overrun.
