A medium sized tree has a beautiful habit with penduous like green leaves which are smooth and shiny. The flowers are enclosed in furry brown packages opening to white highly fragrant flowers in Spring. It has smilar flowers to magnolia denudata.

A great feature tree. Ideal for gardens and parks and for street planting. Look effective when planted in a row. Great scented flower makes it a great addition to any garden.

Prefers humus rich well drained soils in a full sun to part shade position. Prefers a neutral to acid soil.
