A compact leucadendron species with flaming-red star-like flowers atop arm-length bracts from early in winter. A rapid grower suitable for any size garden and forming a nicely rounded evergreen shrub. Salignum varieties are favourite leucadendrons, providing vivid garden displays and colourful cut-flowers for indoor use. Plant in a sunny and well-drained spot, applying plenty of peat and acid fertiliser.
Bred by respected horticulturalist Mr Jack Harre, Leucadendron Jack Harre is a small shrub with exquisite flowers of Yellow with flame red bracts in Late Winter to Early Spring.
Plant in a free draining acidic soil. Although Leucadendrons are drought tolerant, soil should be kept moist in the first year until plant is established, once established they may require some watering in extremely dry conditions.
Prune Leucadendron Jack Harre in Late Spring to encourage new growth and maintain shape and size. At matiruty will reach a height:1.5m x 1mt wide. Frost tolerance:will tolerate frosts to -5°C
