Festuca Elijah Blue is a compact, clumping ornamental grass prized for its fine, icy-blue foliage and neat, tufted shape. Growing up to 30 cm tall and wide, it adds texture and colour contrast to garden beds, borders, and rockeries. In summer, it produces soft, tan flower spikes that rise above the foliage, adding extra visual interest.

In Melbourne and Adelaide, Elijah Blue thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. These cooler, drier climates suit it well, encouraging strong colour and compact growth. Occasional watering during extended dry spells and cutting back dead foliage in late winter keeps it looking fresh.

In Sydney and Brisbane, it requires a bit more care. Ensure it has excellent drainage and full sun exposure. Humidity can reduce its lifespan, so avoid overwatering and divide clumps every couple of years to rejuvenate. It's best treated as a short-lived perennial in humid zones.
