Asparagus meyeri, commonly called Foxtail Fern, is a hardy evergreen perennial grown for its dense, plume like foliage that resembles a soft green foxtail. It forms a neat, compact mound and suits pots, borders and mass planting alike.

Foxtail Fern is not a true fern at all. It is a member of the Asparagus family (Asparagaceae), closely related to Asparagus densiflorus and prized by Australian gardeners for its texture rather than flowers.
