Tall upright tree with a dense canopy. Fibrous stringy bark to smaller branches. Broad, egg-shaped, glossy green asymmetric juvenile leaves. Clusters of 7-15 club-shaped buds appear on stalks. Turn into white/cream flowers from December to March. Tolerant of most conditions.
