Alternanthera Little Ruby

Little Ruby™ is the perfect mounding ground cover with a compact, spreading habit. It has stunning deep burgundy foliage that makes it a stand out plant. It is a third the size of common Alternanthera dentata.
Dimensions: Approximately 30-40cm tall x 60-90 cm wide.
Position: Full sun to part shade. Little Ruby™ loves humidity. In cold climates, plant in a sheltered position to protect from frost.
Soil Types: Well drained moist soils.
Uses: Groundcover, border plant, containers.
Care: Keep moist in dry weather. For best results in light to moderately frost affected areas, prune and use a good slow release fertiliser at the following time of year: For VIC, SA, WA and Southern NSW - Prune early March For Sydney and Central NSW - Prune late March For Northern NSW, QLD and NT - Prune Early April Pruning and fertilising at this time will help Little Ruby™ Alternanthera perform better over winter and look it's best in spring. In frost affected areas if they do get burnt over winter, simply prune affected foliage at the beginning of spring.
